I’ve used the Col Littleton Front Pocket Wallet (with the flap) for almost a year and I love its sleekness and simplicity. Easily the thinnest wallet I own. The leather is not too thick, not too thin and unlike Saddleback, requires no breaking in as the leather is already very pliable. After only a year, there is a lovely dark, rich, elegant patina that it is developing. I love the way this wallet is aging. It doesn’t look worn; it looks like it’s turning into a more expensive wallet you’d gladly pay more money to buy. Col Littleton is a company based out of Lynnville, Tennessee. Their leather goods are beautiful and very well made. Each piece has a rustic look that incorporates antique brass and very unique closures and buckles. Most likely, you either like the style or you don’t. The Colonel has an amazing amount of products available for sale, from leather fly swatters to leather garbage cans to messenger bags, luggage and phone holsters. They have a lot of products for sale. Another distinctive quality is that most item are available for personalization, almost exclusively in the form of a 3 initial monogram. And here it is….
I prefer no personalization, just plain. The wallet has 2 sections inside + an optional flap that comes from the back and tucks into the front flap. I opted for the version with the flap because I like my cards and cash to be contained and not blatantly visible. That’s just my preference.
The back of the wallet has a huge logo. I think the big logo is probably the element that people complain about the most. I don’t mind it…..(but it is rather large). You can also see the bulge of the outline of the cards I put in the wallet.
As I mentioned there are 2 areas to put stuff. The back is for credit cards and you place cards in vertically. The other compartment in front is where you put cash folded in half or random receipts.
This is what it looks like with folded cash in the cash slot. I prefer wallets that are sized to accommodate cash folded in half as opposed to in thirds.

The area where you put the cash is a 2-sided open flap. Very simple. Typically I put 6 cards in the back as well as some emergency cash and about 5-6 bills in the front. I also put my most used credit card in the cash area for easier access.
This is the side view of the 3 cards and 3 bills. If you put more in, it gets a bit fatter but does not bulge.
Here is a close up of the underside of the top flap. I think the streaks look cool in the leather.
If I had one complaint on this wallet, it’s the silver rivet. It’s not a bad design element….the problem is that because of the rivet, the cash and cards are pushed over to the left. Sometimes if you don’t seat the cash just right, it can easily protrude from the opposite edge of the wallet. Since I purchased this wallet, the Colonel released an exact version of this wallet but without the rivet. I bought that recently and am currently waiting for it to arrive. Without the rivet, this wallet will be even more awesome. At the time of this post, the front pocket wallet with the flap and without the rivet is $60 (free shipping).
