Amazon has a great perk for their Prime members…the Prime Eligible, Lending Library.  As a Prime member, you can borrow (at most) one new book a month.  You can keep books for as long as you want.  Not all books on Amazon are eligible for borrowing and I have often had trouble trying to find a complete list of eligible books in the Prime Lending Library.

Below are the steps to get the complete list:

Step 1:  Go to http://www.amazon.com (link opens in a new window)

Step 2:  Go to the search box on the top of the page and select “Books” from the drop down.  DO NOT type any text into the search box.  Click GO.  This will give you ALL the books available on Amazon.

Step 3:  On the left side of the page, scroll down until you see a section called “Format” and select “Kindle Edition.”  This will narrow the books list to the Kindle book titles available.

Step 4:  Again on the left side of the page, scroll down until you see a section called “Amazon Prime” and select “Prime Eligible.”  This will narrow the Kindle book list to the titles eligible in the Prime lending library.

Voila – there you have the full, Prime-eligible full list of books!

There are a lot of books available in the Prime Lending Library.  Most are Public Domain books (aka free), but here are some titles that are worth a look (below were Prime eligible at the time of this blog post):

I’m a big fan of Amazon’s Prime membership and have been a member for years.  Along with the Prime Lending Library, members also receive access to free streaming of some movies and TV shows.  Not to mention the free 2-day shipping for most Amazon items.  At $79/yr, it’s a no brainer for many of us and I love that Amazon has kept this membership price low and keeps adding value.  Love it.  Get Amazon Prime here.
