If you’ve read my review of Saddleback Leather’s Medium Satchel, you’ll know that I am a big fan of this company. Saddleback leather is well known for making various leather goods with very simple, classic styling, using very high quality leather. But what I love about them most is that they make stuff that is built to last forever.
I like things that last forever….even if you have to pay more for it. When you find something you love and is super useful AND it lasts forever, what’s better than that?? No hassle and waste of needing to continually replace items…
Talking about replacing items, don’t you hate when mousepads get all grimy and gross after a year or two? Typically, mousepads are made of a rubberized non-skid material with a layer of cloth on the top. This layer of cloth is very customizable and I’m sure you have one that looked great when you first bought it.
Two years later, I bet your mousepad looks as awful as all of mine did. All the dirt and grime from your hands kneading in the dirt into the cloth….making everything a dull grayish color. And if that’s not bad enough, if you keep using it, either the cloth on the top edges will start curling up or the rubberized material will start flaking off leaving an awful mess on your table. I hate mousepads because they have such a short lifespan and look just awful for at least 50% of their life.
But what I don’t hate is Saddleback Leather’s mousepad. Full grain leather with a really firm neoprene sandwiched in-between. Large rivets line the edge and make the classic style pop in a very nice way. I’ve been using mine for 2 years and it looks more and more beautiful each day. The dirt and grime from my hands are making the leather patina and look absolutely gorgeous. No rubberized stuff flaking off. This might just be the last mousepad I have to buy, which is more awesome than I can put into words.
Below are a few pics of my tobacco color mousepad after 2 years of daily use. The dark areas are patina. Isn’t it beautiful?? I do rotate my mousepad 90 degrees every now and then. The center area is where the mouse usually sits and gets the least contact with my hands, which is why that area shows less patina.
Simply because you are using nitrates, that makes your entire body not in a good state should you take http://deeprootsmag.org/2012/11/19/at-thanksgiving-signs-of-the-times/ cialis canada online also. I no longer hate mousepads. I love leather mousepads.
Trust me. Buy a leather mousepad. You won’t regret it. Yes, you’ll pay up to $45 for it instead of the cheap $5 ones but it’ll last decades longer than the cheapo ones and it’ll look BETTER as it ages.
I recommend the Saddleback Leather mousepad but I also recommend a shop on Etsy that had a full-grain vegetable-tanned, super thick full grain leather mousepad on sale for $15 shipped. That one didn’t have a layer of neoprene so it’s not a thick or comfortable but it is a super thick, solid piece of full grain leather. I’ve had that one for 6 months and similar to my Saddleback mousepad, it’s looking real good….
